I'm
Interculture

The I'm Interculture campaign offered a chance for us to share our mission and vision with the public and for them to reflect on why they too "are Interculture". We asked people to complete the sentence "I'm Interculture because..." which gave an opportunity for them to reflect on reasons why they favour intercultural communication and why raising awareness is so important. We then chatted with the public about ideas for future projects they'd be interested to see us launch. This was a fantastic opportunity for meeting local people and building our network and team!

The Response

People were very responsive and even if they were camera shy, they were been happy to stop for an interesting chat and give us their opinions. We heard some wonderful stories, and some sadder ones.

People talked to us about their own related projects, identity, experiences of racism, islamophobia and xenophobia.

Some chatted for 3 or 4  minutes, had their photo taken and then went on their way, others stayed for 3 or 4 hours and joined in chatting to people and taking photos!
