Welcome to our events page here you can view our future and past events
All our events are targeted toward education around intercultural topics
We’re launching a very much needed event AS PART OF THE Bristol pride month , where we invite people to listen to and discuss LGBTQ+ related issues in “cross culture communities” within a friendly and safe panel discussion followed by a Q&A.
Bristol Refugee Festival's Annual City Of Sanctuary flagship event will take place once again in Queens Square. Their partner organisation LARA (Lorraine Ayensu Refugee Arts) has a great line up for the stage and there will be trade and information stalls, a kids area, sports and games to keep the whole family entertained. Delicious hot food from Moveable Feast and Refugee Woman of Bristol and a wonderful selection of tea and cakes supplied by Bristol Refugee Rights will be available to buy.
As part of Interculture’s hugely successful Women Talking Series, we are bringing you Refugee Women Talking, a unique opportunity to hear women from refugee backgrounds tell their stories. There will be the opportunity to ask questions In this interactive panel discussion. Our aims are : to encourage people to ask questions directly to Refugee women and not just talk about them/ make assumptions, create safe spaces to bring people together to break down perceived cultural barriers, to encourage people to find a platform so they can make their voices heard.
Women Talking is safe space for women to speak and be heard, to improve intercultural awareness and unpick some of the trickier conversations that we are often scared to speak about.
- The Women's stories of how they have survived and hopes for the future.
- How to volunteer with refugee groups.
- What is needed in Bristol.
- The positives about living in Bristol.
We took over Hamilton House in the heart of Stokes Croft, for two days of community outreach and engagement through our "I’m Interculture" photo campaign. We had an overwhelming positive response from people, who were very happy to drop by and have a chat and have their photos taken. We received a lot of feedback and covered a wide range of topics.
